I was raised in a Christian home in suburban Minneapolis. Though my upbringing in the Church gave me a lot of good information, it wasn’t until I heard Billy Graham invite me to “give my life to the Lord” that I genuinely trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Since this event, God brought my arrogant, elitist, prejudiced, perfectionistic self to a place of humility, recognizing we’re all on an equal playing field before the cross.

In college I embarked on evangelism. Now, well over 20 years after sharing Christ for the first time, God has brought me on a journey of learning not only about evangelism, but evangelism leadership and how to equip the Church to be evangelists. This trajectory led me to become a full-time missionary in Minneapolis in 2015.

Since 2021, I have spearheaded an initiative called Access Evangelism, working with churches and other ministries to help them develop their own evangelism. God has now brought me together with over three dozen ministries to share the gospel, train Christians in evangelism, coach leaders, and help pastors develop programs to build sustainable evangelism in their congregations. The endeavor has taken me beyond churches to humanitarian ministries, Christian schools, and even Christian-run businesses.

I currently live in south Minneapolis with my wife of over 18 years, Sonya, and my daughter Havilah.
